Which MSO.DLL version to use, as I observe two version MSO.DLL is linked here to download.

the first thing you need to do is update your office installation to the latest service pack 3.
then, use the MSO.DLL v12.0.6662.5000. remember, always use the latest release of the MSO.dll file, it ensure that you remain activated. anytime this file gets updated, it will show you an error.
that is time to will need to come back here to get the newer version.

Hi Supremo Phantom,
I am observing a peculiar problem.
I have windows 7 sp1 64 bit installed. I downloaded Office 2007 ultimate from digital river and sp3 from microsoft website and installed both.
Now, after installation, my wifi connection is off, and then I replaced mso.dll in windows shared/office 12 directory with MSO.DLL v12.0.6662.5000 from here.
Then when I launched word application, it prompts me to enter key in the pop up window.
Activation window does not pop up, wherein I can select activate by phone.
Have you observed or heard this before.
If yes, what is the solution?

Sporty, you need a valid product key for office. You should either buy it or google for a product key.

office 2007 has an enterprise product key generator available..use that to first get yourself a product key.
enter that key and then when it asks for activation, follow the instructions given in the mso file package.
