Invite to Surfshark
Hello,

If you join Surfshark, a VPN provider that offers secure and private browsing, they’ll reward us with extra months of Surfshark, for free:

I am currently on the Surfshark Starter plan and it meets my needs, so I don't see a need to upgrade to a higher package.
If you subscribe to Surfshark and stay for at least 30 days. We both get a reward! - They automatically add free months to our subscriptions.

I've been using Surfshark for a while now, and I like their customer support. They're responsive, helpful, and willing to listen to feedback.
The service itself has been mostly reliable, with some minor issues with certain servers being blocked by YouTube.
However, the support team has been working to address these issues, and I appreciate their efforts. Overall, I'd recommend Surfshark to anyone looking for a VPN service with good customer support.

I continue to evaluate them, under the 30-day money back warranty.

I'll be leaving this thread open for comments, so if any member has a personal experience with Surfshark and would like to share their thoughts or opinions, please feel free to do so.
Your independent feedback and insights are welcome and can help others make informed decisions. Thank you.

PIA is the only good provider with port forwarding for P2P. A friend tells me NordVPN has slow servers, and doesn't justify the price.
SurfShark is just for navigating on the Internet and only if you are in a country with no aggressive censorship or restricted networks. PIA is the best with workarounds to bypass censors.

Using Surfshark for torrenting: How reliable is it?

Quote:Is Surfshark trustworthy?
Surfshark is a leak-proof VPN equipped with cutting-edge encryption. Moreover, it has undergone successful audits by companies like Cure53 and Deloitte, ensuring the reliability of its services. While Surfshark doesn’t log your traffic, it does retain some connection details, including:
User ID
Your IP address
Connection time stamps
While this is unlikely to reveal anything about your torrenting activity, we’d prefer zero logging. Fortunately, Surfshark’s policy states this information is “automatically deleted within 15 minutes after termination of your session.”

Otherwise, some users may be deterred due to Surfshark’s headquarters in the Netherlands, a member of the 14 Eyes surveillance alliance. Once again, this isn’t a big deal for torrenting, but it’s worth considering for those who prioritize privacy above all else.

Fixing qBittorrent Speeds with VPN: A Step-by-Step Guide
reddit.com/r/nordvpn/comments/izd1yt/i_seem_to_have_really_slow_speeds_on_qbittorrent/ Archived: https://archive.ph/jKM9a
Quote:qBittorrent Settings:
Open qBittorrent and go to Options:
Select Advanced > Network Interface.
Select the TAP-VPN network connection (e.g., Ethernet 3).
Restart qBittorrent

It's not a bug, it's a feature. For qBittorrent you should configure the interface in advanced settings:
  • IP Address for Connecting: Set to "All IPv4" (if Network Interface on VPN) or "All addresses" (if Network Interface on Ethernet).
  • Sometimes restarting the qBittorrent client is not necessary.
If you'd like to use qBittorrent without VPN, you should check Surfshark bypasser settings and add qBittorrent executable.

Opinions are my own. No warranties reserved, expressed, implied, or otherwise.

Thank you.

Regards,
